Media Services
Instor offers on-demand, in-house printing of high quality barcode labels for tape backup libraries. If you need your tapes labeled, we can do that, too.
While you can get media from many sources, how many suppliers will take care of your tape order immediately, print custom labels, and then deliver everything by Friday evening before your weekend backups need to begin? Instor handles important jobs like this routinely. During the business week, we can ship labels and tapes to Bay Area customers with same- or next-day service. For customers elsewhere, we get your job done promptly and then overnight your labels.
Green Data Center Services
Our data center infrastructure consultants will audit your facility to identify various means of saving energy. We'll provide a written set of recommendations for you to implement green IT best practices, addressing power, cooling, and airflow conditions in your data center. You'll get insights into the following data center infrastructure metrics:
- Cooling: cabinet temperatures, room temperature and humidification patterns, analysis of air recirculation patterns, and benchmarking of cooling unit performance against manufacturer specifications.
- Airflow: current airflow conditions, including perforated tile layout, underflow airflow, perimeter breaches, and raised floor bypass area and bypass airflow volume.
- Critical power: comparison of power consumption against system capacity, power distribution limits, and cabinet utilization. We determine redundant capacity for each sub-system.
- Room conditions: overall assessment of your air system, equipment layout, cable management, and room contaminants. Includes infrared thermal imaging of IT and cooling equipment.
